Updated COVID Policy August 2021

We at Prevail Conditioning Performance Center believe it is important that we communicate our position on the recent update to the masking vs non-masking / social distancing changes announced August 6, 2021.

Essentially, we will continue to practice business as usual.

Masks: Our facility is an open-air warehouse and has excellent ventilation.  Our coaches will continue to wear masks as clients desire (please feel free to ask our staff to wear a mask if it makes you more comfortable).  Clients, as well, have the option to wear a mask during training or not wear a mask.  We will not mandate masks upon entry for training clients.  For manual and physical therapy, however, masks will continue to be worn by practitioner and patient.

We honor privacy and trust that each person has made the decision about masks that best suits their personal beliefs, needs, and values. We will not discriminate based on whether or not an individual has chosen to be vaccinated nor whether or not they choose to wear a mask.  As always, we invite anyone to wear a mask if it makes them feel safer and more comfortable doing so.  We want to support our clients and meet you where you are at.

It is important to us that our staff and members continue to feel welcome, safe, and comfortable in our performance center. Prevail Conditioning will continue to monitor statistics in our area and observe the influx of exposure in larger groups without social distancing or masking requirements. We appreciate your patience as we do our best to navigate these uncharted waters.

Vaccination and Privacy: Asking other members or staff if they have been vaccinated is strongly discouraged at Prevail Conditioning. We kindly request that you respect each person’s privacy and personal beliefs on this controversial matter. As always, we thank you for being a valued member of our community and we will do our best to continue serving you to the best of our abilities.  

We will continue our previous practices as per usual to maintain our high standards of cleanliness:

We make great effort to comply with required protocols from the CDC and the California Public Health Department. After reviewing all relevant information, we have made the following updates and changes to our facility.  These guidelines will also allow us to stay in compliance with the standards of our conditional waiver. 

We always maintain control of our facility occupancy to maximize flow and limit overlap. This will be easy for us to accommodate as we are by appointment only.  

In addition to  our normal cleaning and sanitation practices, the protocols we have listed below are ways we can offer you a safe and productive workout.

Services and programs:  

  1. Physical and Manual Therapy services will be available
    1. Clients and practitioner will be required to wear a mask
    2. Practitioner will be required to wash their hands before the appointment
  2. Private/Semi Private Training and Group Training sessions will be available onsite as well as virtual options
  3. Group Training Classes will be available with a modified schedule

Other important information:

  1. All staff members will comply with workplace protocols.
  2. All staff members exhibiting any symptoms of being infected with COVID-19 while at work will notify the owners immediately and go home.
  3. Any staff member with a temperature of 100 degrees or more will NOT come to work.
  4. All machines, equipment, and the front desk will be sprayed with WAXIE solution station disinfectant cleaner. This is a certified and effective solution against a broad spectrum of bacteria and is anti-viral. The product spec sheet will be available at the front desk.
  5. COVID Positive Staff Protocols: Should someone test positive for COVID they should be asked to quarantine for the CDC recommended timeframe of 10 days from the start of the symptoms, be symptom free and no fever for 24 hours before returning to work.

  6. COVID Positive Client Protocols: Should someone feel symptoms coming on or if they are around someone with COVID they can quarantine and immediately test (for the up to CDC recommended timeframe for 10 days after being around person with COVID).  If not positive and no symptoms they can return. May not have to self quarantine. See resources below:

Before you workout:

  1. Clients exhibiting COVID symptoms should remain at home
  2. Members are encouraged to bring their own mats, towels, blocks and stretch straps

During Training Sessions:

  1. Gloves are optional
  2. We will have several hand sanitizer locations on the strength training floor
  3. Staff and clients should remain at comfortable distances from one another.  Please let others know your comfort level.
  4. At times, staff may have to get closer to adjust items on the exercise equipment
  5. Weather permitting, windows and doors will be open to allow more air to circulate throughout the facility

Cleaning and Front Desk Updates:

Cleaning

  1. Exercise equipment will be cleaned, by a staff member or client, after each use with the disinfectant cleaner
  2. There will be an additional cleaning performed at the end of each shift
  3. Restrooms will be disinfected daily and extra attention given to regular wiping down of high touch surfaces.
  4. As always, staff and members must wash their hands before leaving the restroom. 

Facility Closing:

  1. The staff will conduct our standard closing cleaning procedures at the end of the business day.
  2. There will be a once a week full facility sanitation by Big Green Cleaning Company in addition to our regular cleaning and maintenance.
